Today we got our visa from the Kenyan embassay in Den Haag... We walked in, filled in a form, paid a lot of money and walked out with two brand new visas. With it we can go into Kenya for 3 months without problems. At least, thats what we hope.
Thats the first step (well, more or less)...

Hey Nick & Nynka,
Great to hear from you and learn of the upcoming trip. You will certainly be using your English a lot in the next months, Kenyan style! I (Bill) was in Kenya in 1997 on a mission trip and met many lovely and friendly people. I really enjoyed the "chi" (the tea they boil in their homes over a eucalyptis wood fire and then add milk and raw sugar). No matter how hot it is outside, a cup of chi is refreshing. With all your free time, we wanted to let you know about a paperback book we have, written by Dr. Melvin L. Cheatham in 1993 entitled "Come walk with me". It is about his service in Tenwek Hospital in western Kenya, and especially about a young man he treated. Happy to send it to you.

As I don't understand a word of Dutch - I sincerely hope I'm writing in the correct box! We (being the Brown family down in Gloucestershire, England) wish you both a very safe journey and arrival at your respective places for internships. What a fantastic bit of organisation.
